Big Piston – JBS Racing first put a Husaberg engine in a Motocross Sidecar in 2002. The engine was a 2003 model 650 (644cc) bought from Dave Clarke Racing (who was then the UK importer) in September 2002.

Initially the engine performed OK but seemed to lack the kind of power needed to compete with 700cc Zabel 2-Strokes that we had worked with before.
